About the artist
tenor saxophone
Illinois-born tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander plays hard-swinging, big-toned straight-ahead jazz. A protégé of pianist Harold Mabern at William Paterson, he placed second in the 1991 Monk competition, co-founded the sextet One for All, and keeps recording, lately for Cellar Music Group.
