About the artists
guitar
New York guitarist Peter Bernstein is a master of warm, bluesy archtop swing. Mentored by Jim Hall, he worked with Lou Donaldson, plays in a long-running trio with Larry Goldings and Bill Stewart, and toured with Sonny Rollins. His recent albums come out on Criss Cross and Smoke Sessions.
drums
Massachusetts-born drummer Joe Farnsworth studied with Harold Mabern and Art Taylor, then became a pillar of New York's hard-bop scene, playing in One for All and backing Benny Golson and Pharoah Sanders. His recent Smoke Sessions albums include The Big Room.
