Bassist who moved to New York in 1978 and spent 25 years in James Moody's quartet, with credits including Horace Silver, Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan and Ahmad Jamal. A longtime educator and author, he is Artistic Director of the Skidmore Jazz Institute.
