About the artist

New York-born pianist and singer Janice Friedman studied jazz at Indiana University and played with the Woody Herman Orchestra and Buddy Rich Big Band. A composer, lyricist and arranger, she has appeared on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz and swings through standards, blues and show tunes.
