About the artist
piano
Philadelphia-born pianist Kenny Barron is one of jazz's most graceful voices. He joined Dizzy Gillespie's band in the early 1960s, co-led the Monk-inspired quartet Sphere, recorded memorably with Stan Getz, and taught at Rutgers for decades. He was named an NEA Jazz Master in 2010.
