About the artists
piano, keyboards
Argentine pianist and keyboardist Leo Genovese plays exuberant, genre-hopping music that moves between jazz, free improvisation and psychedelic rock. A longtime collaborator of Esperanza Spalding, he also played in a quartet with Wayne Shorter and has recorded with The Mars Volta.
drums
Washington, D.C.-born drummer whose long career runs from Shirley Horn's band to Herbie Hancock's Mwandishi sextet and Stan Getz. A revered teacher, he leads a long-running quartet with Mark Turner, Ethan Iverson and Ben Street, whose ECM album Just came out in 2025.
