About the artists

Toninho Horta is a guitarist, singer and composer from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, whose lush harmonies helped define Milton Nascimento's Clube da Esquina sound. He has worked with Pat Metheny, Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock, and his album Belo Horizonte won a Latin Grammy in 2020.

Rio de Janeiro-born drummer Duduka Da Fonseca brings the lilt of samba and bossa nova to jazz, and has lived in New York since 1975. A co-founder of Trio da Paz, he has played with Antonio Carlos Jobim, Astrud Gilberto and Herbie Mann.

Philadelphia-raised bassist who grew up in a musical household and came up on the city's bandstands before moving to New York in 2011. He studied with Ron Carter and Barry Harris, has worked with Wallace Roney, Russell Malone and Louis Hayes, and leads swinging, groove-forward bands of his own.
