About the artist

The youngest of New Orleans' famous Marsalis family, Jason Marsalis began as a drummer with his father Ellis and pianist Marcus Roberts. He later became a celebrated vibraphonist, leading a swinging, playful Vibes Quartet heard on the album In a World of Mallets.
