big band (1920s–30s jazz)
Vince Giordano
Bass saxophonist, bassist and tuba player Vince Giordano leads the Nighthawks, an orchestra devoted to the hot jazz and dance music of the 1920s and '30s, played from vintage arrangements. Their music fills HBO's Boardwalk Empire and films like The Aviator, and they are a regular draw at Birdland.
