Mingus Big Band
Fourteen-piece band founded by Sue Mingus to play Charles Mingus's music in the big format he rarely got to use, with a rotating cast of top New York players. Grammy-winning and long beloved for its Monday nights, it keeps the tradition going with Mingus Mondays at The Pocket.
